Water Mill Blog - Mill Pool Update

There is a saying "Flat as a mill pond". The pool at Shelsley Water Mill certainly qualified this Sunday.

The webmaster was in the area this Sunday and decided to check how the mill pool was filling.

As you can see from the photograph the pool is full and the worries about how level the sill is were unfounded. The water levels are exactly as predicted and Kevin from the Court House team should be proud of his work.

A good supply of water means that we will be able to demonstrate the waterwheel on New Year's Day and start off the seventh centenary year at Shelsley Mill on a good note. To see why we are talking about seven hundred years have a look at the history of the mill
